Whether you’re looking for haunted houses and ghost stories or events for the kids, we have you covered with our 2022 Halloween Guide.

Fire Side Ghost Tales at Odette’s Overlook
When: October 12 & 19, 7-8 pm
Where: River House at Odette’s, 274 S. River Road, New Hope, PA
On Wednesday, October 12th and 19th, experience an interactive evening that will feature an informal talk and Q&A with historian and Ghost Tour guide, Carolyn Randolph. Specializing in Bucks County history, Randolph will discuss tales of the city and the surrounding towns to shine a new light on its fascinating past and the bold names whose presence still roam the area to this day. There will also be a psychic at the event that will read your past, present and future. The event is free to attend. RSVP by calling 215-682-2022 ext. 3 and request Odette’s Overlook for Fire Side. It’s a first come, first serve event with limited seating.
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres
When: October weekends
Where: 881 Highland Road, Newtown, PA
Sleepy Hollow has been the destination for Halloween celebrations since 1990. On the beautiful 230 acre Gunser family farm with fields of corn and pumpkins, you will encounter an authentic Halloween experience. There are three attractions offered. The Haunted Hayride, Field of Fright and Haunted House in the Hollow.
Valley of Fear
When: Oct. 1, Oct. 7-9 Oct. 13 – 16; Oct 20 – 23; Oct. 27-30, 7-10pm
Where: 301 W. Bristol Road, Feasterville, PA
Come ride through America’s most horrifying woods, on what the independent website, FrightTour.com has called “one of the best we have ever been on” including a graveyard they called “absolutely amazing.” With gigantic sets and a twisting, disorienting trail, you’ll see why they were recently named Hayride Of The Year.
Haunted Civil War Tour and Victorian Wake
When: October 22 & 29, 6:30 pm
Where: 104th PA Regiment Civil War Monument, 10 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA
This tour includes two historic locations. At the Bucks County Civil War Museum, 32 N Broad Street, the ghosts of Doylestown’s war heroes rise from the grave to recount their experiences of life and death at war. At the James-Lorah Home, 132 N Main Street, an authentic Victorian Wake honors one of the fallen Union soldiers. As an added spooky treat, you’ll learn some bizarre 19th century death customs and superstitions. Meet at North Main and Court Streets, on the sidewalk behind the Civil War Monument.
Ghost Tours of New Hope
When: Month of October, Fridays and Saturdays, 8 pm
Where: Corner of Main and Ferry, by the Benjamin Perry Mansion, New Hope
Don’t disappoint our ghosts by missing out on their stories! Head out on ghost tours of New Hope on Saturday nights at 8:00. Meet at the corner of Main and Ferry by the Benjamin Parry mansion.
When: October 22nd, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Where: Bucks County Audubon Society Visitor Center, 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA
This fun and family-friendly event is perfect for families with kids ages 4-14 (but definitely can be enjoyed by all). Groups go out onto the trails roughly every 30 minutes, so while you wait for the next group to go out, enjoy storytelling around the campfire, Halloween crafts, face-painting, seasonal refreshments and more at the Education Center! Admission is $5/person (BCAS Member), $10/person (Non-Member) or $20/family (BCAS Members), and $30/family (Non-Members).
Fall Sips – Family Fall Festival at the NAC
When: Fridays, 9/30-10/28, 5:30-10:30 pm
Where: NAC, 120 Pheasant Run Road, Newtown, PA
Fall sips are back every Friday night with live music and fun at Escape Resort, Restaurant and Bar. All ages are welcome to attend this free event. It’s open to the community and includes the whole resort and north field. You’ll find local breweries, specialty fall cocktails and food vendors, live music, field games, crafts and kid-friendly activities. There will be firepits, s’mores and comfy seating too!
Fall Festival Weekends at Snipes Farm
When: October weekends starting Oct. 1, Saturday 9 am – 6 pm & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm
Where: Snipes Farm, 890 W. Bridge Street, Morrisville, PA
Visit Snipes Farm this fall for all kinds of family fun. Take a hayride in a tractor-drawn wagon, pick pumpkins, visit the land of scarecrows, meet farm animals, participate in a scavenger hunt, complete the straw balle maze, enjoy cider donuts and so much more. The event is $10 per person ages 3 and above.
Halloween Happening 2022
When: October 27th, 5:30-7:30 pm
Where: Warwick Community Park, 1733 Township Greene, Jamison, PA
One of Bucks County’s favorite fall traditions is back and it’s bringing TRUNK-OR-TREAT with it! Enjoy performances by The Joy of Movement Dance Company. Roar Wick will be there, decked out in the season’s spookiest costume. Walk among the Scarecrow Showdown and see the winners of the four prize categories. Need a last minute costume before the Big Night? Or are you looking to off load last years costumes? Stop by the costume vault and make the swap.
Halloween Train Excursion at New Hope Railroad
When: October 8-30, select dates
Where: New Hope Railroad, 32 W. Bridge Street, New Hope, PA
Attend the “Halloween Event” or take a ride on the Trick or Treat Train at New Hope Railroad. The Halloween Event operates on select dates from Oct. 8-30. the train leaves the New Hope Train Station and ventures into the unknown for a 40 minute ride. The Trick or Treat Train offers a safe place for families and children to enjoy Halloween.The 45-minute Halloween excursion includes a live reading of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, as well as seasonal songs performed by one of the railroad’s musicians. After arriving back to New Hope, passengers can trick or treat around the station platform for more treats and surprises with costumed characters. All ages are welcome and costumes. are encouraged!
Bram Stoker’s Dracula by Roxet Ballet Company
When: October 21-23 & 28-30
Where: The Mill Ballet Event Center, 46 North Sugan Road, New Hope, PA
Kicking off the fall season, Roxey Ballet stages its dance adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Roxey Ballet’s “Dracula” interprets Stoker’s famed horror story through a complete sensory experience of movement, music, and spoken word with pyrotechnic, sound, and lighting effects. Showcasing 16 world-class professional artists, the performances take place throughout NJ and at the Mill Ballet Event Center in New Hope.
S’mores Campfire & Night Hike
When: October 28, 7-9 pm
Where: Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, PA
Enjoy delicious s’mores around the campfire and go on a guided hike through the trails of Churchville Nature Center to explore nature at night. Registration is required.
Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding
When: October 29, 12 pm – 3 pm
Where: Peddler’s Village, Rte 263 & Street Road, Lahaska, PA
Dress in your spookiest or most original Halloween costume and come out to Peddler’s Village Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding! Explore the haunted grounds, join the spooky dance party, and participate in games such as pumpkin bowling and musical chairs. Prizes will be awarded for all kids participating in the Halloween costume contest. There will be pizza, refreshments, and delicious desserts. This Halloween Wing-Ding is fun for the whole family!
Steam Pub Halloween Party with DJ Ernesto

Trick or Treat for Grown Ups at Crossing Vineyards Winery

Have a spook-tacular afternoon, featuring some “scary” wine and sweets pairings, like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, M&Ms and candy corn. Costumes are welcomed and reservations are necessary. The cost is $35 per person.
Hoppy Halloween Beer Fest at Broken Goblet
When: October 22, 4-8 pm
Where: Broken Goblet, 2500 State Road, Unit D, Bensalem, PA
Broken Goblet Brewing presents HOPPY HALLOWEEN 8, the only Halloween-centric beer fest that celebrates local first with some of the best libations available in the surrounding areas. Continuing from the success and learnings of previous events, they will be featuring the best in local breweries, some great live music, and plenty of room to spread out, all for a low cost of entry. This year, like every year, your ticket will include a commemorative full size glass that serves as your tasting glass. This is a 21+ event only, ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN, valid ID required.
New Hope Celebrates High Heel Drag Race & After Party
When: October 30th, 2:30 pm
Where: Havana New Hope, 105 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA
The theme for our 18th Annual High Heel Drag Race is “All That Glitters Are Ghouls”. Race participants must carry a pumpkin up a hill, decorate the pumpkin, and race back down the hill. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee required in advance, limited to the first 15 participants. Held rain or shine, this is a Halloween spectacular, whether you are participating or watching! Join New Hope Celebrates and our LGBTQ+ community for the High Heel Drag Race After Party at Havana in New Hope. Everyone will be doing the monster mash and drinks will be available for guests 21 and older. This is a long-standing tradition and highlight of the fall season.
Halloween Costume Parade at The Stocking Works
When: October 29, 9:30 am Parade kick off
Where: Stocking Works, 301 South State Street, Newtown, PA
Register for the parade between 8:30-9 am. Costume judging begins at 9 and the parade kicks off at 9:30 am at Stocking Works. The parade will end at Brian Gregg Park.
Spooktacular Costume Contest & Parade
When: October 22, 10:30 am – 1 pm
Where: Bucks County Administration Front Lawn, 55 E Court Street, Doylestown, PA
Participate in a Costume Contest and trick or treating throughout downtown Doylestown. Advanced registration for the costume contest is strongly encouraged! Meet at the lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building (55 E Court Street) for the contest and staging. For trick or treating, look for stores and restaurants with orange and black balloons hanging outside. There will be a printed list of participating locations at check-in.
