Mother’s Day is coming up quick, and if you’re hoping to plan a special moment with mom this year, Pensacola has plenty to offer.
Whether it’s a down-home crawfish boil, classic jazz brunch or intimate tea room lunch, there’s a little something for everyone. All events listed take place on Mother’s Day on May 8 unless noted otherwise.
In addition to in-person experiences, there are also to-go orders available to enjoy the day at home.

Five Sisters Blues Café will be serving its traditional Sunday Jazz Brunch on Mother’s Day from 10 am until 4 pm The brunch includes a variety of a la carte starters, salads, entrees, seafood and sandwiches. Some of the brunch favorites include the Sisters’ Benedict, chicken and waffles, smothered chicken biscuit and Belgian waffles. The signature experience comes with jazz performances throughout the brunch to enjoy while sipping on a house bloody Mary — made with vodka, Louisiana hot sauce, pickled okra, Worcestershire sauce, olive juice and black pepper.
In addition to the regular menu, Five Sisters will also be serving up a special plate just for the day:
Special: Hickory smoked prime rib with prosciutto wrapped asparagus and smoked gouda au gratin potatoes.
Carry-out option: For those looking to celebrate at home, Great Southern Restaurants will be offering a special grab-and-go menu for $85 plus tax, aimed to feed six people. Additional orders are available in increments. The grab-and-go package consists of:
- Roasted vegetable quiche with smoked salmon and fresh dill
- Lemon beurre blanc sauce
- Roasted potatoes
- Sauteed broccoli
- Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
Orders can be placed until 5 pm May 4. Pick up will be held at the Fish House from noon to 3 pm May 7. The package will come fully cooked with reheating instructions.

Pensacola Beach’s Hilton is hosting a Mother’s Day buffet in the hotel’s ballroom. The brunch is $65 for adults with a $13 add-on for bottomless mimosas. Children ages 6 to 12 can eat for $23 and children 5 and under are free.
Brunch buffet includes:
- bonsai sushi station
- Charcuterie station
- Carving stations
- Assortment of desserts

The neighborhood tavern will be hosting a special Mother’s Day brunch buffet with three available seating times. The buffet will be $30 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. The Mother’s Day menu is still in the works but will be posted on the Calvert’s Facebook page

In addition to the signature menu items, like the World Famous Grits a Ya Ya, crispy fried chicken biscuit and baked French toast, Chef de Cuisine John Huggins has created a Mother’s Day special for both the brunch and dinner hour.
Brunch: Deep dish seafood quiche with lobster, crab and shrimp, served with spring vegetables tossed in green goddess dressing ($24.95)
Dinner: Grilled grouper served over shrimp and crab risotto, resting in a pool of lobster cream sauce ($36.95)

If you’re looking to treat mom to a multi-course experience, this Mother’s Day four course meal will include a freshly prepared artisan cheese fondue, decadent chocolate fondue and special drinks for mom. The package is $64.99 per person for adults and $19.95 for kids 12 and under, who are given a special kid-friendly menu.

Crabs on the Beach is hosting a Mother’s Day Crawfish Festival this year. The festival will begin May 7 with live Zydeco music from 6 to 10 pm, then pick up again from 11 am to 3 pm Sunday. Crawfish will be available for sale until sold out.

If you’re looking for a little entertainment while you dine, Seville Quarter is teaming up with the Improbable Cause Mystery Theater to host Dolled Up for Death — a murder mystery brunch show on Mother’s Day.
The mother-daughter, beauty pageant themed show will begin at 11 am with tickets for $65 each. The ticket includes a choice of a fruit and yogurt parfait, vegetable frittata or chicken and waffles with hot honey. Beauty pageant attire for the event is encouraged.
